Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
ByteCraft ("we," "our," or "us") is a web development studio that builds SaaS MVPs and related services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your information.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you visit our website at bytecraft.cc(the "Site") or engage with our services.
1. Who We Are
ByteCraft is a studio founded by a 14-year-old developer, operating under full parental oversight. All legal and financial matters are managed by the parent/guardian who acts as the business operator. For the purposes of this policy, "we" and "us" refer to the ByteCraft studio and its legally responsible adult supervisor.
If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at:
- 📧 hello@bytecraft.cc
- Parent/Guardian inquiries: legal@bytecraft.cc (monitored by the adult responsible for the business)
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information that you voluntarily provide to us or that is automatically collected through standard website tools. We never purchase data from third parties or engage in data scraping.
a) Information You Provide Directly
- Contact Form Submissions: When you use our contact form or send us an email, we collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.
- Booking a Call (via Calendly): When you book a consultation call, Calendly collects your name, email address, and any additional details you enter. We use this to schedule and conduct the call. Calendly's own privacy policy applies to their processing; we access only the booking information you provide.
- Client Engagements: If you enter into a contract with us, we will collect the information necessary to deliver our services (e.g., project requirements, communication preferences, and billing details). All contracts are co-signed by our parent/guardian.
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Website Analytics: Our Site uses Vercel Analytics and possibly Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our pages. These tools may collect anonymized data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and the pages you visit. We do not send any personally identifiable information (PII) to these services.
- Hosting & Security Logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) maintains standard server logs that may include IP addresses, timestamps, and request details. These are used solely for security and performance monitoring and are not accessible for marketing purposes.
c) Payment Information
We do not directly collect or store credit card numbers or sensitive financial data. Payments are processed through Stripe (via a parent-managed account) or bank transfer. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:
- To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about our services.
- To provide, operate, and maintain our services (including project delivery, support, and bug fixes).
- To schedule and conduct consultation calls.
- To analyze Site usage and improve our content and user experience (in an aggregated, non-identifiable form).
- To comply with legal obligations, such as maintaining business records under parental supervision.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (for EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal grounds for processing your personal data include:
- Consent: When you voluntarily provide your details via a form or booking.
- Contractual Necessity: When processing is required to deliver a service you have requested (e.g., a signed MVP Sprint agreement).
- Legitimate Interests: For analytics and security monitoring, which are necessary to run and protect our Site.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We may share your information with the following types of service providers who help us operate our business:
| Service | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Calendly | Scheduling calls | Name, email, meeting preferences |
| Vercel | Website hosting & analytics | Anonymized visit logs, IP address |
| Google Analytics | Usage analytics (if active) | Anonymized traffic data |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Payment details (not stored by us) |
| Notion | Project management | Project-related communications |
All third-party providers are contractually obligated to process data only according to our instructions and in compliance with applicable privacy laws. We do not allow them to use your data for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with a legal process or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ByteCraft, its users, or others.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Site uses minimal cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting, or intrusive tracking.
- Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the Site to function (e.g., form security). They do not store personal data.
- Analytics Cookies: Our analytics tools (Vercel, Google Analytics) may set cookies to collect aggregated, non-personal data about site usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may not function properly.
We do not currently display a cookie consent banner because we only use essential and anonymous analytics cookies. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (such as for marketing), we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy:
- Inquiry emails and messages: Up to 12 months after our last communication, unless a client relationship begins.
- Client project data: For the duration of the project and for a reasonable period afterward (up to 3 years) to honor the 30-day bug-fix window and any maintenance agreements.
- Analytics data: Kept in anonymized form indefinitely for trend analysis.
You can request early deletion of your data at any time (see Section 9).
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. These include:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all Site traffic.
- Secure access controls for third-party tools (two-factor authentication where available).
- Parental oversight of all accounts that process personal data.
- Minimal data collection: we only ask for what we genuinely need.
Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information to the best of our ability.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal data.
- Objection/Restriction: You can object to or ask us to restrict certain processing activities.
- Portability: You can request that we transfer your data to another service.
To exercise any of these rights, please email hello@bytecraft.ccwith the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Parental/Guardian Note: Because ByteCraft is operated with a parent/legal guardian as the responsible adult, all rights requests will be reviewed and handled under that adult supervision.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for business-to-business interactions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
While the founder of ByteCraft is a minor, all data collection and processing is supervised by a parent/guardian who is legally responsible for the business.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email if we have your contact information, or by a prominent notice on our Site prior to the change becoming effective.
